REVIEWS “SAD PLIGHT OF LUCIFER”
NO CLEAN SINGING (US)
“It delivers body-slugging, neck-snapping death metal laced with eerily darting and frantically screaming fretwork and fronted by truly monstrous growls from deep in the belly.”
ROCKHARD (Slovakia)
“Sad Plight Of Lucifer” is a diverse album, based on the old school, but you can also feel a more modern breeze, which only benefited the thing.”
LEGACY (Germany)
“Already the opening title track cracks through the death metal beams weighing tons.”
SCREAM MAGAZINE (Norway)
“A surprisingly positive affair. Definitely a rock-solid ‘comeback’ at the top where they absolutely belong.”
APOCALYTIC RITES (Poland)
“Konkhra have come up again with yet another excellent album that hopefully will not only appeal to the longtime fans but will also win them some new ones.”
HELLFIRE (Germany)
“…brutally bangs out of the speakers. Great Death Riffing drive the mosh pit in front of them. Live certainly a blast.”
METAL ONLY (Germany)
“Sad Plight Of Lucifer” hits the listener exactly where it hurts; without detours directly into the pit of the stomach.”
THE RAZORS EDGE (UK)
“I knew I would enjoy whatever Konkhra gave me after their comeback 2019 record, and I wasn’t wrong when Sad Plight Of Lucifer was finally presented to me.”
METALHEAD (Italy)
“..the album therefore has a multifaceted style, thanks to a band that masters its creativity.”
METALLERIUM (Peru)
“The music continues in the style that they are best known, that is death metal, but always with that combination of groove metal, and other elements that make them sound modern or not in a classic line, cutting riffs, thrash parts, etc. with Lundemark’s voice more death metal as in their beginnings.”
DEADLY STORM ZINE (Czech Republic)
“This is a very addictive affair with an honest heavy effect. I can’t help but recommend this new release to you. It’s great in every way.”
METAL OBS (France)
“Konkhra proves that they’re still in the race on the European death/thrash metal scene, with their inimitable sense of groove, and can therefore still hurt as in the days of the sulphurous Spit or Swallow or the powerful Weed Out The Weak.”
