Well, disaster strikes: Condolences offered
from the Konkhra camp to the Schuldiner family. We regret your
loss and acknowledge Chuck for his music that lay the foundation
for what the world knows as Death Metal. We had the sincere joy
of supporting Death on the "Individual" tour, and Chuck
will be remembered. R.I.P.
..And on another note, our recently operated on drummer Johnny
Nielsen was threatening to start rehearsals next week, just got
bit by his 1.2 m,4 kgs moraine and that's gotta hurt. No drumming
for another couple of weeks, but what else is new. ( Johnny's
probably going to break a leg or something once this moraine bite
is healed up...)

Newsupdate September 2001:
Right now is when we would have liked to start recording but life
is throwing obstacles at us. Anders sold his house to pro. Soccer
player Benny Gall, who is just moved to town to be a goalie for
F.C. Copenhagen. This was a time-consuming experience and Kim
sold HIS house and moved down the street with his family,- his
three year old son is alive and kicking that's for sure. Johnny
just contracted Hernia and doctors orders are to remain calm until
further notice. There is 6 weeks of waiting before we get more
info on this. We might be living in a country where healthcare
is free, but we have to sit and wait for some time to get operations
and such. We'll keep you posted on Johnny recovery, and bear in
mind that this disease is not a lifethreatening one, and we expect
Johnny to be up and running in a couple of months time. Get well
mail is accepted and appreciated on konkhra@konkhra.com.
Lars is busy getting a new couch to sleep on, since his old one
just caved in. I guess it gave up after having Lars laying around
for the better part of 2 years. But the new couch is in good spirit
and we expect it to withstand for some time even though Lars is
now without question the heaviest of the heavy here in Denmark,
someone even mistook him for the frontman of legendary Black Debbath.
The music: we are off course still working on the songs and are
pretty close to finishing 8 songs. Some titles are ready: "Parasite",
"Hellhound on my Trail", "Grapes Of Wrath"
+ the short and ugly "Shut Up". We are staring on preproduction
for the remaining songs this week, and we are likely to be finished
in the studio around January. We are booked into Starstruck Studio
( www.starstruck.dk) from now and into 2002. Well off course keep
you updated as work progresses in the studio, and I can even promise
that we'll soon be updating our photosection with shot from the
7 week trek with Napalm Death and our recent European tour with
King Diamond. Well mix in shotsfrom the studio, ad as soon as
we are happy with something you'll get mp3's on this site, tasters
from our upandcoming 5th album.
May - Hi There, thanks again to anyone that supported us
on our recent tour with King Diamond. I usually write a tourdiary
on these pages, but I didn't keep one this time.
I should have though, because this was definately one of the more
exiting tours we've done. Almost all the shows were sold out,
King definately is having his second youth these days,- more power
to him.

About Konkhra: After finishing the tour with King, we took a break,-
Kim is in the finals for the Denmark Championship in rollerhockey
and they look like they have a good chance of winning. Johnny
is fixing his car these days, his BMW 525i needs work on the brakes.
And since he lives 50 km from the studio we havn't seen him at
rehearsals more than a couple of times, due to that car. And Lars?
Apart from getting married....he's probably asleep on the couch.
Getting late for something....again, he he he. BUT: we are still
writing the record,- we are very careful to make everything as
downright mean and brutal as can be. We are finished with 4 songs
and have 3 more cooking right now. My best guess is that we can
release something in the fall. Deal? yeah, we have two serious
and ok offers, but we are waiting until the record is 100% done
and then we'll announce our new label. We aint rushing this. This
time ( like everytime) we want the record to be the best it can
be.
I'll get back to you when we start recording in the studio. Probably
in september or sometime close to that. Thanks again for the great
support at the show with King Diamond. And remember: Our forum

Feb
- Konkhra is confirmed as opening act for King Diamond on the
first leg of his European Tour. This will be the first time that
Konkhra plays contries like Poland, Finland, Czech Rebublic and
possibly the baltic countries. Look to the tour
list for the schedule.

our forum provider cracked and closed down the server.
